1969.5 A12 Superbee – $120K obo over $100K
This car was purchased by my father already restored. It was then put into storage where it sat for approximately 10 years. When my father passed away I got the car out of storage and took it to R3 restorations in Broken Arrow, OK where the car was completely gone through – all new rubber lines, brakes, fuel system cleaned and carbs rebuilt. Basically everything that needed to be done to get this car ready for the road was done.
- 440ci with Six Pack
- A-833 Four speed with Hurst shifter (1 of only 267 made)
- Numbers matching engine and transmission
- Bucket seats, no console
- Manual steering
- Manual brakes
- Vinyl top
- 1/4 scoops
- “H” code wheels
- Radial redline tires
- Reproduction factory lift-off hood
- The trunk pan and 1/4 panels appears to have been replaced during original restoration
As far as I can tell and a few other gentlemen that have looked at the car – it is correct and a solid, if older, restoration. There is no broadcast sheet with the car’s paperwork. Only some old sales documentation and of course all the documentation on the refresh performed by R3 . The lore on this car according to my Dad was that it came from Mr. Norm’s Grand Spaulding dealership but other than a window sticker I can find no paperwork that proves that claim.
This is all I know about this car.
