Slow Cooker Hard Core Beef Stew
This stew is low cost and super filling. You can leave out and add other vegetables depending on what you have on hand. Don't skimp on the spices!

Ingredients
- 1lb stew meat
- Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 2 potatos (medium) or 1 big baker peeled and cubed
- 3 carrots peeled and diced
- 1 red onion chopped
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 12oz beer (Modelo)
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 16 oz water (2 tomato cans full)
- 1Tbsp Thyme leaves
- 1Tbsp Rosemary
- 1Tbsp Sage (fresh chopped if you have it)
- 2tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1Tbsp Black Pepper
Instructions
- If possible marinate the stew beef overnight and sprinkle on a good amount of Montreal Steak Seasoning. If no time just apply the steak seasoning.
- Brown the stew beef and transfer to the slow cooker.
- Deglaze the skillet you brown the meat in with some of the beer. Dump the pan juices in the slow cooker.
- Combine the vegetables and shake on (like you would salt and pepper) the steak seasoning.
- Add the vegetables, beer, diced tomatoes, water and seasonings to the crock pot.
- Cook six hours on high or longer on low.
