This is soup has a similar flavor to the good old canned Bean and Bacon soup but is much, much better for you and imho tastes waaaaay better!

Ingredients
- 8 oz. Ham, diced
- 1 cup diced red onions
- 1 cup diced celery
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth/4tsp chcken buillion + 4 cups water
- 3 cans (15 oz each) Great Northern beans, drained
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Spray your stock pot with cooking spray then sautee the onion and celery over medium heat till soft.
- Add the garlic and sautee for 1 minute longer.
- Add the broth, beans, tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste (easy on the salt if you used buillion!) and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 50 minutes.
- Remove approx. half the soup to a bowl and blend til smooth and stir back in to the pot.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
